I really like your clean use of line here.  The varying weights help define the elements and enclose details.  I also like that, while you've included a great deal of really good detail, you haven't overloaded it.  For example, leaving out a lot of detail lines in the boy's hair helped to make it more visible.  That bare spot, surrounded by the busy linework of dragon scales and facial features became a focal point drawing my eye to that area.  Once there, my eyes more easily appreciated that face.  You've also done a really good job of foreshortening the boy's upper body and arms, giving just enough or the right kind of contour lines to show that.  Your choice not to make the lines of the setting heavy helps that setting recede from significance and keep the main subjects the main subjects.  And the copious details you've given give the viewer reason to keep looking...an important element of all good art (I think).

The flip side of that detail is that it can bet to be too much, and in the area of the dragon's arms and eyes, it feels that way to me.  It looks rather like the dragon is wearing a helmet of some sort, with those square scales, but I can't tell if the ridged loops around the eyes are part of that headgear or part of the dragon's anatomy.  While the boy's upper body is foreshortened wonderfully, including the proper placement of his upturned head, his legs look odd to me.  They aren't really crossed "indian style" but thee feet aren't pressed against each other, either; one appears to be above the other.  Also, the lower legs seem well in front of the thighs, the way they overlap at the knee.  For that to be so, viewed from this angle, he must be holding his feet above the ground?  And if so, how did they get so far below his crotch, and turned to face his toes as they are?  We should be seeing all the toes on that foot from their ends, I think.

All in all, this is a really nice piece.  So many details came out just right that I can tell a good deal of thought went into getting them that way...like how his fingers are posed.  So, given the evident importance you put on such things, I wanted to help.  The legs and feet are the only really weak link in an otherwise outstanding drawing.
